You will have noticed a couple of trades today from Silent Specialist.

He is in the process of designing a trade management EA and these trades are to help him test the new system. I was initially concerned because I didn't want us to be his guinea pigs, however he assures me the trades are in line with his regular strategy.

The trade management EA is designed to reduce risk by helping him avoid up coming news releases, moving stops to break even, cutting trades once a certain drawdown limit is reached and taking profit at a predefined profit level (in percentage terms).

He'll be back to full time trading next week, I'll be sending an email out with your 60 day trial link on Monday.

I was glad to hear that he is doing some improvements and tuning of his system. But I did not see the main thing.
SS signal was destroyed by TWO news events. First about usd and second about cad. Yes, we did not know about China but 17 oct was VERY BAD DAY for trading ANYWAY! He must just STOP ANY TRADING during upcoming news! He have to look sometimes at fxfactory or myfxbook or any other news provider!
News trading is NOT for his current strategy. IMHO.

Please, ask him about it.

Active new avoidance is one of the main adjustments he is making. He has actually built a news filter into the trade management system to help with this.
