  • I agreed with Nick and others that we all should let Silent Specialist to do his trading. Today NZDUSD was above daily R5 (0.84985), lucky to see him NOT cutting trades there... Cheers!

Hey Nick, can explain what you mean by the above?

On another note, I was thinking whether it would be better for signal provider SS to inform the forum of his trade intention when his own rules are broken. Much of the anxiety and unhappiness of some is when rules are not followed.....perhaps with good intention but when there is no communication, it is a problem. He can come to the forum to broadcast his intention to hold the trades and give his reasons and advise those who wish to disconnect the signal and close the postion, to do so. He can also say that he will not reply to his broadcast as he is busy monitoring the trade, but at least bring everyone up to speed with his strategy.

Loose change is still money. I do not see forex as gambling, as gambling is guesswork at best and at worst, pure luck.

Yes I agree that we would all like feedback if Silent Specialist is thinking about exceeding the 50% mark.

I will try and get him to notify me so I can pass on the information should it happen again.

        • I cut my trades and am glad I did, I still believe in this signal, but want to make sure that I live to fight another day.

Things that I will be doing are:

          1. Making sure that this is the only signal on the account on which it is running.
          2. Input a max DD of 51% into the ST control panel.

I have no doubt in my mind that SS will be able to recover the loss on my account in no time at all.

i will be gambling 1k on this guy - capital i can afford to lose. good luck to all
US residents don't have to gamble as long as they properly manage the risk multiplier. On a $1K account I would set mine to .1 or .2. That helps me sleep well at night. Good luck & safe trading to all and may the pip spirits protect the Silent Specialist.

I hope you let it ride. You should let a provider work a bit before giving up. As of now my DD is less than 2% because I set my Risk/Multiplier at 10% of his trade. In my amatuer opinion this trade is working out just fine.

Good idea MQL. I am taking it a bit slower. I believe SS will deliver the goods whether you want it fast of slow. I am going to keep my risk at .2 to .3 until I can start playing with OPM (other peoples money.)

                  • hopefully these trades will close w/ profit. You have to think that SS will play a little more safe after this disaster.

The stats are unbelievable, however a word of warning - It's extremely risky as he will risk a maximum 50% of account equity on a basket of trades. So this signal is not for the faint at heart. I recommend withdrawing the initial deposit once you have doubled your account to remove the risk and make the swings a little easier to stomach
                        ...
Sorry recint, but I disagree. This is not a low risk high reward strategy. If you find one let me know! I expect (and very much hope) SS doesn't change his strategy.
Eventually this strategy will be stopped out for 50% DD and everyone following on full risk will lose half of their money. However before that happens, and after that happens, I expect we will make some large profits.

If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, maybe a lower risk setting would be better. Personally I'm on 0.7 risk and as my account grows (hopefully) I will reduce that to 0.2-0.4

Yes still in. When I've seen 62% DD I just switch off my PC and went for a walk. I've checked it again few min ago and we are almost at BE. I'll leave him do his business

                            • Hi Nick,

I think Silent Specialist is very much focused on big stop and support levels, so he opened trades at multiple level confidently. But I think when the trend run so strong with the bullish candle on 5m chart sticking with the bolinger band, we at least need to wait a sizable bearish candle produced ( it means the trending might start to fading) . We are hardly to see price fall straight away from a more than 5 bullish candles hinged on bolinger band ( 5m chart). Alternatively, we have to wait to see more than 3 candles move horizontally rather than continually up . I found Silent Specialist has good solution to exit but looks he don't mind too much about the entry point. If he take care the both , he'll achieve much better result even in the extreme market conditions like last night . I wish he'll be advised about this

Why are you even following his signals if you have everything figured out already? How do you know he even uses any type of indicator that you mentioned above with his particular trading strategy?
