Fabricating returns to promote signals is called a scam buddy! If you have another definition thats your own problem. Also selling a service that loses money is a scam in my book, especially when you are partnered with a broker as an IB.
-
Pearcey2, You are right about a number of things but I don't think you read any of my earlier posts.
I was calling this scam long before the trades went south but I was pushing it uphill. The reason I am calling it a scam is because the broker and the signal provider is one and the same. You can prove this to yourself as the pages are still up for the time being.
Imagine the possibilities when the signal provider drums up the business for the little third world unlicensed broker. This is a marriage made in heaven. Brokers have the ability to delete anything you want them to from your trading record. If you are the broker you can make the record. You have to remember that they would have had no followers for a long time with all the gaps in the trading. Most people were wary. They would only have picked up a few subscribers after about June last year. The 15% per month they keep going on about is based off of those early fabricated results. How do I know they were fabricated? Because I have been watching the trading method and its not good. Very erratic - a disaster in the making.
Even right at the last many people complained about the 2 CHF trades that were opened in their accounts and never closed. JP were not answering their subscribers at all and guess what? both of those losing trades did not make it into the history file. They just disappeared. There is the magic. Nobody else can do that.
Here's another thing to think about - by his own admission Johnpaul admits they lost nearly 50% of their account and that is true. Their drawdown was 48.66% and getting worse. That is when they thought of the best scam ever. They used the broker as the scapegoat and they changed the size of the positions to a tenth of what they were WITHOUT SELLING ANYTHING!!!! This was a master scam but I don't hear anyone talking about it.
If anybody else were to scale their position down like that they would have to sell 90% of the position and that sale would go into their history file. In this case when the positions were finally closed with an even greater loss a week later they were closed with the smaller lot size shown in the history file. This way their losses on the EU trades looked tiny, all up about 13%.
Looked at the right way , you can see this was a form of damage control because there was no way they could have closed those large losses without taking a huge hit and that was unthinkable. At this stage they still thought they could hide their misdemeanor.
I am going to attach some pictures and you will see what I mean about fraud in the history file.
If you want to prove the figures to yourself go into MT4 and guestimate what the entry price might have been on EU on the 22nd July and then see how many pips were lost by the 18 August. Multiply that by 2.2 lots for the two positions and you will find that it is a staggering amount.Last edited by Mrs Marple; 08-29-2014, 07:40 AM.

Do you not notice the deception behind the whole article, charts and all. It is made to look as though Mutual funds give a poor return but if you invest with Johnpaul you will get a much better return, guaranteed, you can trust us. Just put all your money in our hands and we will prove it to you. If we lose 50% one month don't worry, we will make it up to you (maybe)
Pearcy2, words are cheap, and in my experience people always talk a lot (or type a lot) before they take a moment to think things over. They tend read fast but not thoroughly. They pounce on a little thing but can't see the elephant in the room. I will leave you to think your own thoughts and you are very welcome to them. If you still feel so strongly about Johnpaul, I have now given you the link where you can join them again for free for 3 months.
As for your comment that their results suffered because they had to force trades in a market that didn't suit their style, that is really funny. Rule number 1, good traders never blame the market (or the subscribers). They take responsibility for their own actions. Rule number 2, Good traders monitor their trades regularly. Rule number 3, Good traders know when there is a trend going on and go with it, not hanging on in a trade backwards.
The above things are how traders learn to conduct themselves voluntarily if they wish to survive in the trading world.
It is unforgivable that a person or people should be able to drum up subscribers knowing full well that their history is fudged and they can't possibly keep up to that standard in the future. That is just callous and cold-hearted and that is what I am trying to point out here.
If they spent half as much time monitoring their trades as they spent on promoting themselves and drumming up new business they might have done better.
Then the signal hits a 19% DD. 19% on a signal which has averaged 15% per month for over 18 months. This does not sound like a scam to me.
If I invest my saving in a managed fund that invests in shares and I lose money, no one calls it a scam. As soon as you lose money in forex people cry scam. Sure there are scams out there. But so far I don't think this is one and unless you can show something which suggests the history is false...this is also not a scam
Why does everyone feel that as soon as they subscribe to a signal it's like subscribing to a licence to print money? The forex market is risky whether you trade for yourself or whether you follow a professional

I am going to challenge you here and I hope you rise to the challenge. I am going to attach a link to a webpage here that will plainly and without any doubt tell the story. It will show you
(a) what the boys at Johnpaul have been so busy with that they forgot about the trades they had on and
(b) that locally they are still promoting their signal and how deceptive & conniving they are. They will eventually get every penny out of local pockets and please bear in mind that the people in Indonesia are very poor and this is very cruel indeed.
Please read the whole page so that you get a real feel for the spiel.
I will give you this link now and hope that you do it justice by first translating the page and then click the relevant links at the bottom - for example the one that gives a free 3 month subscription to the signal. Also be careful not to click the home page or you will find that all the magic links have disappeared into the looking glass and you now have only the standard version. Please write to me and tell me what you think. Will you invest your life savings here?

Brokers and IB's have promotions together all the time. I get a discount for signing up to IC Markets through this websites IB. People can receive free signals for life if they deposit enough money at one of the associated brokers. I don't for a minute think Nick started IC Markets/Axitrader etc.
Far more plausible is that the results suffered when they had to force trades in a market that didn't suit their style since people were subscribing

Orion77, Do you have trouble understanding what you are reading?
Might that be because you are so deeply emotionally involved with this issue? Do you really think that I haven't looked into this very deeply and actually know what I am talking about?
Didn't I say that I have been watching these guys for quite a while? in fact longer than anyone else by the look of it. I have read every review left by their subscribers on MQL5. In fact that is what initially got my little grey cells working. There were a lot of unexplained phenomena going on. Some people were not buying their story.
At that point Johnpaul & Co realized that what people wrote on the reviews were accessible to everyone and that they needed to improve their image. So they changed many things including trying to legitimize all their webpages and make everything look more cohesive. Unfortunately for them there are still many gaps in their stories. One is the street addresses that don't even exist if you google map them and it appears that Maxrich Group Limited is NOT at 31F, Tower One, Times Square in Hong Kong - these people are: http://www.jetoneglobal.com/#!contact/c2q4
Lets talk about Maxrich Group Limited (the supposed owners of Futures Galleria & Futures Galleria Blog)
When I first started to look into this tangle the only piece of evidence The JP boys could show to prove they had any relationship to Maxrich was a single page in a register and on that page the name was not exactly the same. Anybody who has ever been in business knows that the name must be EXACTLY the same or it is not the same company. The Company listed in Hong Kong is actually Maxrich Group HOLDINGS Limited. You can easily google it. This is what the register says about this company :
Business Summary
MAX RICH GROUP HOLDINGS LIMITED also known as 盛富控股集團有限公司 is a live business incorporated in Hong Kong on January 13, 2011. Their business is recorded as Local Company. It is not part of a group. The company has no filed accounts. The company was incorporated 3 years ago.
Conclusion: This is a shelf company indeed but NOT the one we are looking for. They are also small enough to get away with not lodging tax returns or are not being used. Now lets compare this company with what Johnpaul77 would like us to believe.
You can find the webpage on the Futures Galleria Blog or here: http://maxrichgroupltd.com/ It becomes immediately apparent that this is only a half finished webpage. You can see the copyright 2014 at the bottom. This is a very amateurish web presence for a company that has supposedly been in business since 1995 and has Billions under management. A company of that size would have certainly lodged tax, even have their own team of accountants, and most certain of all, they could afford to have a proper web page. Below is the nonsense found on the property page - how many people would find this believable?
.................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .....
Maxrich Group (MRG) is one of Asia’s leading real estate groups, investing directly in high quality Asian office and industrial properties.
With $1.3 billion of assets under management, Maxrich Group also actively manages office, industrial and retail properties located in key Asian markets on behalf of third party capital partners.
Maxrich Group manages an office portfolio of 1.4 million square metres across Asia and is the largest institutional owner of office buildings in Hongkong and China.
We builds and maintains strong relationships with its tenants to understand their needs and delivers service excellence.
.................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .........
This is not credible considering the simplicity of their web page and the fact that you will find no mention of this "largest institutional owner of office buildings in Hongkong and China" anywhere else on the net. Yes, that is right. You will not find any ads for vacant properties or anything else along that line. The only evidence we have that they exist is on the Futures Galleria Blog webpage. We are now supposed to believe that they exist because Futures Galleria Blog says they exist and they can give you a link to prove it. They can even show you the registration document of another company with a similar name. Would you believe this flimsy attempt at deception? No prudent person would.
Orion77, You asked me to look at the Trader's Family webpage as though that were somehow evidence of Johnpaul's competency at trading. Have you been around long enough to know that only 6 months ago the page was completely different? There were more and different "cowboys" on the team then (9 of them) and the most amazing thing is that they all had amazing skills, some eat code for breakfast, some are great at karaoke or "spinning the charts" but the important thing is that NONE OF THEM WERE TRADERS. This information was readily available to anybody who wanted to look. At the time they had five thousand followers on MQL5 alone and who knows how many more in other places, yet nobody noticed. These boys were only interested in promoting themselves, the trading was secondary. I will try to attach this document if I can.

Above is only the writing in the page but not the pictures. You can write to me at Missusmarple@yahoo.com.au and I will email you the document so you can peruse it at leisure. I found it rather interesting that most of the "cowboys" were obscuring their face in some way and to me they looked right shady. I also noticed that when JP did the article about themselves on MQL5 Tito Hayunanda has had a promotion to "trader" ( what? fully competent now in only 6 months?) and they have added another team member that was not part of the original business Lorry Marthias. Well, with so many different people stirring the pot no wonder the broth was watery.
Well guys, I have only covered one subject today, but I am an old lady and will need to take a nap. Maybe I will be able to do a little more later on today after I have walked my little dog Chuckie.
PS - One more thing, Orion77. Can you prove without a doubt that Futures Galleria Blog is registered in British Virgin Islands? I mean real evidence , not some words on their webpage that say so.
You see, the reason companies register in places like that is because they are avoiding tax in their own countries. There is no need for the JP boys to do this because everything in their businesses is virtual, like running an online casino. None of their little "businesses" are registered like real businesses and Futures Galleria Blog is definitely not licensed and has no Bappebti number. Therefore they are also not paying tax.
To my way of thinking it makes no difference whether they claim to be a company in the British Virgin Islands or in Indonesia, if neither of these places is regulating them and charging them tax. I know it looks impressive on the front page but I am convinced it is another red herring scam because it can't be proved one way or the other and makes no sense. As Judge Judy always says: If it makes no sense it isn't true!Last edited by Mrs Marple; 08-29-2014, 03:57 AM.

On Aug 22 I received this email from them:
Partnership Termination with Futures Galleria
Dear Traders Family Community,
Throughout our career as a trader, maybe this is one of our biggest disappointment.
Some of you might know that our broker partner, Futures Galleria had terrible failure towards us and their client.
On Monday, 18 August 2014, their process to change the standardization of mini lot size from 1 to 0,1 turned out to be system failure.
Moreover, they did it without any prior notice or announcement to their clients. It had left us in terrible error of trading for the whole 2 days that affected our subscribers and sucked our portfolio's drawdown nearly 50%.
Many of our subscribers from MQL5 and Myfxbook also suffered from this system failure which resulting loss and trade errors.
On behalf of our subscribers, it has become our duty to make an important decision before it drags them into the depth of kicking and screaming.
Today, we has made the decision to sever our partnership with Futures Galleria as our broker and this decision is final.
Following our decision, we suggest our beloved investors who have fund in Futures Galleria to withdraw and close their account. We can not provide the client protection at Futures Galleria anymore in the future.
As the result of the decision we have made, we will pause or not trade until further notice.
For investors who still have a trade issue regarding this huge stupid mistake from Futures Galleria, please inform us your account number and transaction order immediately. We will make it up.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
JP
So far I think they are legit, however the market conditions and subs pressure forced them to increase the trading frequency which didn't suit their normal trading patterns.

Sorry for your losses guys.
I have been watching these boys with interest for about 6 months. I knew their history was false but I couldn't figure out how they did it. So I looked into every corner and uncovered the following facts. They own the brokerage Futures Galleria - you will see they were stupid enough to put the same address on both Traders Family and Futures Galleria.
They will probably change this now that I have trumpeted about it.
I have saved screen shots of that though, as well as all their mugshots. They were also stupid enough to do a great newsarticle about themselves on MQL5 to try drumming up some more business as their trading headed south. In that newsarticle they showed 4 of the traders ??? One of them is on the Futures Galleria front page photo gallery and the caption says "3 of the team of 8" Bold as brass and twice as dumb but they have succeeded in pulling off this stunt.
They managed to get quite a lot of the subscribers to this signal to change brokers into their little bucketshop. So all of those people would have donated half their account to these scammers.
I am not sure whether they meant to sacrifice the signal in order to fleece the customers in the brokerage or whether it was an accident caused by not having a decent trader on the team. They made good money either way. I am worried that they might try to revive this signal so am keeping a close eye on them. They are currently looking for a new trader on their team - its on their TF homepage under career.
Just now they have thrown their brokerage under the bus but it is probably only a matter of time before they re-emerge with some of the losses magically erased or written over and with a new broker who has bought out their old one and renamed it and then it will all be on again.
Next time they won't make it so easy for me to spot them because they will have learnt from their mistakes
And also look here: https://tradersfamily.com/about-us/

Look at the screen shots below. These addresses are probably still on the pages right now if you are quick.
A possible explanation would be that they use the same account that has set up shelf companies from the same address, but it's a stretch.
Thank you for alerting us to this Mrs Maple, whether or not it's a scam remains to be seen, however you've given us a lot more information to consider that we would have found on our own.

I personally don't believe it's all one big scam, but there is probably more to the story than they're telling us.
Time will tell. If they disappear then the operation is obviously bogus, if they stick around and recover the losses then you have to give credit.
It'll be interesting to see what happens, opening a new brokerage account and getting back into trading shouldn't take too long if they're serious about restoring their reputation.
Their style may just not be suitable for subscription copying
But I would like to see them continue with a reputable broker even if they stop selling their signal

Of course, it is just as I thought - if you are sh1t traders, blame the market.
If you are even sh1ttier, blame the subscribers. If you own the broker and have been fudging the figures and got caught with your hand in the cookie jar and don't what the '...' you are doing blame everyone and everything.
The market was absolutely GREAT. Trading conditions in the last month were fabulous if you were in the market the right way and not trading against the trend.
