  • ARION and Theresa May tomorrow's speech

Tomorrow UK's PM Theresa May will deliver a speech over BREXIT. The tension is high as seen in today's session, by the large GBPUSD weekend gap of around 200 pip, with no other reason than the expectation of an hard brexit stance (meaning clarification of leaving the single market in order not to accept freedom of movement) in tomorrow´s May's speech.

This high impact event is now already shown in most events calendars (MyFxbook, Forex Factory). Last week the calendars were not even showing the event. However, be alert about the exact timing of the speech. It has been changing in MyFxbook and it's still tentative in FF.

The expectation is that Theresa May will finally cut to the chase, however the situation is highly uncertain and it´s possible that the speech provides conflicting information, resulting in price whipsaw effects to which usually ARION reacts negatively. On the other hand if there is a clear message, ARION will probably be able to catch nice price movements. Due to this binary feature, we have reduced the trading exposure to GBP pairs to about 50% and to EUR pairs to about 67%.

Normal trading will be announced, but it will likely be resumed even tomorrow. Meanwhile stay safe !

It would be easier to follow if you kept all the updates in one thread

        PontusLSE, Balboa

        Yes you are right.

In the next post we'll create one thread just for the ARION signal "trading news and performance announcements", and try to keep most (if not all) the posting inside it. We cannot change the title of past posts, so we're afraid we will still have to create another thread with the proper title.

        Good suggestion, thanks.

TBH most people are just interested in your live performance on myxbook or simpletrader. That's the only thing I pay attention to and their reasoning behind why their performance is such a disaster or is very good.

All this bloomberg kinda stuff that you come out with. I don't know if people really care or read it. Although I think most of us like to see charts with explanation on what you think might happen next. I like that.

Bottom line they just wanna know if you are making money or not. Keep it simple man.

One nice thread showing your performance and the reasoning behind your losses or winners is good enough and is all you need

            Hi Balboa,

            Thanks for engaging.

This post, as others of the same kind, aren’t only targeting the general forum population but also our customers, existing and prospective. You could be surprised about how diverse a customer base can be, and a significant chunk of them do appreciate (if not demand) to regularly know that we too have their financial interest in mind by correctly gauging risks and let them know what we are doing in that regard.

Clearly our posts will never please everybody, but we take your remarks in very good value, even if it will be unlikely that we come to post TA charting here, as the team doesn't focus so much in charting and trying to guess what the next trade will be, but rather assessing what are the statistical edges that are prone to work in each market and market phase.

            Take care!

Sorry mate but I disagree with your view of what people want to read regarding posts that Odysseia Capital think may be of value and interest to both general forum members as well as their clients.
