Just reading back through the thread and noticed this. Is this a typo? Up until 0.15 lots, all sizes are 0.01 lots larger than the previous position. Then it jumps from 0.15 to 0.17 (and 0.30 to 0.34 with a 10,000 Euro balance). Is this correct, or is the 0.16/0.32 position accidentally missing?

EDIT - looking at the backtests, the lot size does indeed jump from 0.15 to 0.17. Please can you explain why?

    thank you for your post.

I think it can last forever. Please look to the strategy backtests of the past 12 years:

A big drawdown will be handled like i said in my last post. The grid system open the positions in the following steps:
    0.01 > 0.02 > 0.03 > 0.04 > 0.05 > 0.06 > 0.07 > 0.08 > 0.09 > 0.10 > 0.11 > 0.12 > 0.13 > 0.14 > 0.15 > 0.17[/COLOR]

Yes, i will always initially open 0.01 lot, because in my account i only have a equity of 5.000 Euro / USD. With 10.000 Euro / USD the positions steps are doubled:
    0.02 > 0.04 > 0.06 > 0.08 > 0.10 > 0.12 > 0.14 > 0.16 > 0.18 > 0.20 > 0.22 > 0.24 > 0.26 > 0.28 > 0.30 > 0.34
you have more questions please write again. I will answer all questions as soon as possible.

      Hello withnail,

thank you for your interest and question and sorry for the late answer. I have changed my forum settings and subscribe to this topic, so in future I get a e-mail when I get a message or there is a new post here. Then I answer within 24 hour.

This isn't a typo and the position with 0.16 lot isn't missing. As you write, you can see this also in my strategy backtests:

                      www.FjodorForex.de/Backtest

                      www.FjodorForex.de/MyFxBook

So you ask why the EA do this step: This is a part of the findings, results, settings and tests that I have done before I go live.

When your question isn't answered good enough, please write again. You have more questions? Please write, I will answer all your questions as soon as possible. Some questions are also answered in the following forum. You can ask questions there too:

        Many thanks for the clarification.

Out of interest, how do the lot sizes progress after 0.17? I realise this has never happened in 12 years, but I'm curious to know how quickly things might escalate at that point.

          Hello withnail,

          the further steps are: 0.19 > 0.21 > 0.23 > 0.25 > 0.27 > 0.30 > 0.33 > 0.36 > 0.40 > 0.44 > 0.48 > 0.52 > 0.57 > 0.62 > 0.68 > 0.74

At this point we has 32 open trades and the course has go up 20 cents / 2000 pips (for example from the current 1.3295 to 1.5295) without interruption.

So I hope that this isn't an to big escalation for you?
