  • How to squeeze a few more pips out of the copier.

    Hey Guys,

Just a quick heads up that the positive slippage setting is now working on the SimpleTrader copier.

You can now enter a negative number as the slippage so you won't be entered into a trade until you are in a better position than the master.

    An example would be.

Master account enters a sell at 1.32000
Your slippage is set to -3
You are only entered into the trade if price reaches 1.32030 (3 pips).

This obviously only works if price moves against the initial entry 3 pips, but when it does work you'll get a much better result.

I've got an Axitrader account following FX Amplified I'm testing it with. I'll post the link here once Myfxbook has their auto update working again.

    Hi Nick,

How is this working. It seems like most of the trades that my signal provider go negative immediately.

      Hi Dkoster,

All you need to do is enter a negative number in the slippage setting.

The copier will then wait until your signal provider goes into drawdown (by whatever you set as the negative slippage)

You might miss the occasional trade, however those that you catch will be much more profitable.

The format of the negative number is
          -x
          ?
I am thinking of trying it with TA
Thinking about -3 ad a test

after comparing your results to mine ( slippage set to +3) i see that you missed the other two trades on 2/9 and the trade on 3/9
i think i will set mine to -1 as a test , seems -3 is too much

This is good for scalping if you are finding your broker giving to much slippage however in most cases it isn't required. Bare in mind the copier executes extremely quickly and its only if the price feed varies greatly between brokers that you'd need to look to do this.

In most cases this isn't required.

Just thought I'd put this up so people didn't think that this is a requirement
