Johnpaul77 fraud - how can they be stopped

Nobody but Mrs Marple has been doing their due diligence. Naughty. Naughty.
    Sorry for your losses guys.
I have been watching these boys with interest for about 6 months. I knew their history was false but I couldn't figure out how they did it. So I looked into every corner and uncovered the following facts. They own the brokerage Futures Galleria - you will see they were stupid enough to put the same address on both Traders Family and Futures Galleria.
They will probably change this now that I have trumpeted about it.
I have saved screen shots of that though, as well as all their mugshots. They were also stupid enough to do a great newsarticle about themselves on MQL5 to try drumming up some more business as their trading headed south. In that newsarticle they showed 4 of the traders ??? One of them is on the Futures Galleria front page photo gallery and the caption says "3 of the team of 8" Bold as brass and twice as dumb but they have succeeded in pulling off this stunt.
They managed to get quite a lot of the subscribers to this signal to change brokers into their little bucketshop. So all of those people would have donated half their account to these scammers.
I am not sure whether they meant to sacrifice the signal in order to fleece the customers in the brokerage or whether it was an accident caused by not having a decent trader on the team. They made good money either way. I am worried that they might try to revive this signal so am keeping a close eye on them. They are currently looking for a new trader on their team - its on their TF homepage under career.

Just now they have thrown their brokerage under the bus but it is probably only a matter of time before they re-emerge with some of the losses magically erased or written over and with a new broker who has bought out their old one and renamed it and then it will all be on again.
Next time they won't make it so easy for me to spot them because they will have learnt from their mistakes

Its very unfortunate that fake brokers do this kind of job and the traders lose money. Not just losing money, they lose hope on genuine signals too. People like Nick who is trying hard to find genuine and good traders will not get good business because of this kind of tailor made brokers. The fact that we cant do anything about it Novice traders should be cautious about the broker of the signal provider. You just cant go by the track record or the millions of money in it. Who knows if its real unless the broker is a genuine one. I have actually thought johnpaul was a good trader, i missed the fact that he has an unknown/unheard of broker.
Trade the market, not the trader

Friggin unbelievable. If it's true, it is scam of the century. They had 1000s of clients - enough money in that brokerage to fund a small country.

Thank (insert deity of choice here) for this site & it's VIP traders.

First allow me to say I brought JP on to Simpletrader.net because I did my home work and knew they could do the job... Unfortunately as like many of the signal providers on this Site and the others... Have gone through scrutiny because of bad trades. The SUBS have no clue what they are doing. So they bug the SHIT out of the trader and leaving them in stress mode and losing concentration on their strategy... This leading to failure and disappointment..

John Paul Signals had this to say when I had a chat with them the other day..

              "Hi Eric,
We didn't change our team member neither our trading strategy.

It's just the market became anomaly for the last 2 months.

That's why we didn't show too many trading activities ever since then.

I personally also admit our biggest mistake when we tried to prove that we can beat the market.

The more we try, the more we lose.

We were not supposed to trade at all during this kind of market,

but this social trading is really pushing us to trade and no longer for our selves, but for the subscribers instead.

Well, we finally know that negative side of social trading.

if you really take a look at our past performance, there are months that we didn't trade at all.

It's when we feel the market is against us.

We should have follow it instead of try to pleased our subscribers."

Because of the SUBS we lost money... So you can stop your BS Crying and just unsubscribe and leave it alone.. This kind of stuff has already happen to most of Nick's Team Traders.

Proof of the pudding - Johnpaul77 scammers also own Futures Galleria Blog

I was going to attach some pictures to prove my point but I will tell you where to find them and you can check it out yourself.

First go to MQL5 and look under " articles" and you will find about 6th down in the list the following one:

Johnpaul77 Signal Providers: "Our Strategy Remains Profitable for More Than Three Years Now. So Why Would We Change It?"

Click into that one and select the second photo in the article, the one of Mr Hendro Sasmito. Remember that face.

Next go to Futures Galleria Blog and open the tab "about". At the bottom you will see a photo gallery of pictures taken when Futures Galleria was exhibiting at a futures expo. Go to picture 31 and 34 and don't forget to read the captions at the bottom.
                Do you see our man?

Now that is only one of them. The others are a bit more wily and some are using false names but there are 7 more (at least).

That is why I am so worried they will do this again. It has been easy pickings for them and being gamers previously they probably got quite a buzz out of this game and would like to see how much further they can go.

Of course, it is just as I thought - if you are sh1t traders, blame the market.

If you are even sh1ttier, blame the subscribers. If you own the broker and have been fudging the figures and got caught with your hand in the cookie jar and don't what the '...' you are doing blame everyone and everything.

The market was absolutely GREAT. Trading conditions in the last month were fabulous if you were in the market the right way and not trading against the trend.

I'm not sure what to believe to be honest.

Throughout every dealing with JP77 I've found them to be very genuine.

They've come to me for advice on different brokers to work with and I've spoken to John Paul and his team on the phone about issues with our copier during the early influx of users.

I personally don't believe it's all one big scam, but there is probably more to the story than they're telling us.

Time will tell. If they disappear then the operation is obviously bogus, if they stick around and recover the losses then you have to give credit.

It'll be interesting to see what happens, opening a new brokerage account and getting back into trading shouldn't take too long if they're serious about restoring their reputation.

Opening some unknown broker doesnt help them. They should open an account with a good reliable and regulated broker

I also have a hard time believing it's one big scam. But if they were to stop selling their signal that doesn't mean they're scammers either. As they rightly point out in Eric's comment, no one's going to subscribe to a signal that has no trades some months.
Their style may just not be suitable for subscription copying

But I would like to see them continue with a reputable broker even if they stop selling their signal

Still not convinced futures Galleria and Johnpaul77 are one and the same?

Would you believe it if you saw them in the very same office?

Look at the screen shots below. These addresses are probably still on the pages right now if you are quick.

Yeah I know. That's very strange.

A possible explanation would be that they use the same account that has set up shelf companies from the same address, but it's a stretch.

Thank you for alerting us to this Mrs Maple, whether or not it's a scam remains to be seen, however you've given us a lot more information to consider that we would have found on our own.

Mrs Marple – you should dig deeper. Then you would have realized that Johnpaul77 don’t own the brokereage Maxrich Group Futures Galleria and that your serious accusations has no evidence.

Maxrich Group Futures Galleria is registered in British Virgin Islands and is owned by a Chinese company NVC Lighting Holding Limited. Their headquarter is located in Hong Kong. If you want the address, here it is: Times Square Building,31/F, Tower One, Times Square, 1 Matheson Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.

What is true is that the JohnPaul77 Team/TraderFamily Team is the same team that run the website FuturesGalleriaBlog. FuturesGalleriaBlog is an IB to Maxrich Group Futures Galleria.
And this is no secret. Just have a look here: http://www.futuresgalleriablog.com/about/ Look at the Photo Gallery Futures Galleria Blog Forex Expo in Jakarta Convention Center.
And also look here: https://tradersfamily.com/about-us/ under the tap “Our Team”.

If they wanted to keep secret that the two teams are the same: Why do they publish pictures and names on their sites? But for you, Mrs Marple, this honesty just show they are so stupid that clever Mrs Marple discover their plot.

You also probably know that they already stopped trading indices already in March, beacause of the trouble it made to the trade copier systems they used at the time. The only reason to change to their broker would be to be able to copy the indices trades. So If their goal was to get customers to their broker, why should they stop the indices trades. Your assumptions are quite wrong. They did a lot work to find solutions so that subscribers could choose the broker they trust.

Your accusations of fraud are based on the assumption that an owner of an IB has access to the broker server and can manipulate trades as he want. But that is completely wrong.

I have followed JohnPaul77 since march and I still mean they have a valid record for three years with amazing performance. There is no reason to doubt the records validity. The last two months they have had a drawdown of about 19 percent. When they terminated their MRG account the gain for the year was 22%. And that is not a catastrophe.

If anybody want to learn how to mob a trader they should have a look on the posts on fxjunction mq4 and also the “questions” to the trader on simpletrader or look into TraderFamily chatroom.

The comments are dominated of ignorant or greedy people accusing JP77 for irresponsible trading. It is obvious that their huge losses are caused by irresponsible risk-settings. Every attempt to point this out is ignored.
You, Mrs Marple has been a frequent contributor to this whining. One week ago you wrote on fxjunction board:

Mrs Marple: “There has been major manipulation of data here. Look at it this way: For as long as I can remember the historical worst drawdown on Johnpaul's account has been 36%. Early this week it when all the losing EU positions had been open for about 3 weeks but strangely showing only a relatively small loss?????? With a lot size of 1.1 standard lots. MQ5 made some adjustments and then suddenly we see the drawdown has changed to 48.66. That means that this current drawdown is the largest ever, almost half the account. The large losing positions were sold he bottom of the market as it was then, but where are those losses reflected? Only 10% loss according to their history file. This is definitely fraudulent activity. Bernie Madoff eat your heart out, these boys run rings around you and are not even gonna get caught.”

                              I wrote a comment.
Orion77: “Mrs_marple, you are quite wrong in your assumption. I wrote this three days ago and it seems to be needed to repeat:
It is confirmed from the support of Maxrich Group/Futures Galleria that they changed the contracts to international standard from yesterday. That means they now use standard lot and not minilots. As you can see the latest JP trade was 1 lot - and that is the same as earlier 10 lots This change has effected myfxbook and mql5 and they are showing wrong equity and drawdown. The exuity on JP master account is now $55,302.25. The trading activity shown on fxjunction is correct.”

I hoped you would realize your wrong assuptions about JP manipulating the statistics and trades. But no. You presented the result of your 6 months watching to see hove you could prove your pre assumption that these guys must be scammers:

mrs_marple: “Bernie Madoff eat your heart out. You went to jail for less. These guys at Johnpaul have pulled the wool so thoroughly over their subscribers eyes they can't even see what is staring them right in the face. To all of you who want to give these scammers the benefit of the doubt - grab a pair of tweezers, go to the mirror and have a go at that wool. To those that worked out the scam and the fraud - congrats and keep using your grey matter. To those that are still confused - let me give you something to help you make up your mind. The same group of scammers that puts out the signal also own Futures Galleria Blog. Do the disappearing signals make sense now?”

It is my opinion it is a pity that JohnPaul77 has decided to terminate their master account. Anyway I hope they find a solution so it will be possible in the future to copy their trades. And that they have learned from the mistakes they admit they have done. I think they could learn a lot in the way this forum is run. You have established a culture that protect the traders from criticism and ignorant comments on the trading, and thus leave the trader to focus on the trading.

On Aug 22 I received this email from them:

                                Partnership Termination with Futures Galleria

                                Dear Traders Family Community,

Throughout our career as a trader, maybe this is one of our biggest disappointment.

Some of you might know that our broker partner, Futures Galleria had terrible failure towards us and their client.

On Monday, 18 August 2014, their process to change the standardization of mini lot size from 1 to 0,1 turned out to be system failure.

Moreover, they did it without any prior notice or announcement to their clients. It had left us in terrible error of trading for the whole 2 days that affected our subscribers and sucked our portfolio's drawdown nearly 50%.

Many of our subscribers from MQL5 and Myfxbook also suffered from this system failure which resulting loss and trade errors.

On behalf of our subscribers, it has become our duty to make an important decision before it drags them into the depth of kicking and screaming.

Today, we has made the decision to sever our partnership with Futures Galleria as our broker and this decision is final.

Following our decision, we suggest our beloved investors who have fund in Futures Galleria to withdraw and close their account. We can not provide the client protection at Futures Galleria anymore in the future.

As the result of the decision we have made, we will pause or not trade until further notice.

For investors who still have a trade issue regarding this huge stupid mistake from Futures Galleria, please inform us your account number and transaction order immediately. We will make it up.

If they did own the brokerage I highly doubt they would plainly send this email out and ask subs to withdraw their funds. Charging $21/month with the intention of ripping people off doesn't make sense either, they could have easily gotten most of the subs at even triple the price.

So far I think they are legit, however the market conditions and subs pressure forced them to increase the trading frequency which didn't suit their normal trading patterns.
